2. Perform full runs if possible
3. Begin rehearsing in sections

7/8th

Objectives:

• Rehearse major scales
• Refresh on sight-reading techniques

Warm-Up:

• Concert Major Scales: C, F, Bb, Eb, Ab, G, D
• 3rds
• Chromatic

Music Rehearsal:

1. Distribute new music
1. Discuss sight-reading techniques
2. Perform full runs if possible
3. Begin rehearsing in sections

High School

Objectives:

• Distribute Chair Placement Info/Discuss
• Rehearse SSB
• Learn HUSH and begin marking time
• Begin parade marching
• Distribute and rehearse assorted pep band music
• Percussion sectional Tuesday

Warm-Up:

• Major Scales
• 3rds in given key
• Chromatic
• Bach Chorale

Pre-School Happenings

Dear HS Band Students,

This is a reminder that we will be having some before school rehearsals on August 13 (Tues) and August 16 (Fri) from 12:00 to 1:00. Please arrive on-time with your instruments and any music you have from last school year. We will be focusing on Hush, Star Spangled Banner, and the School Song. I look forward to seeing you all and hearing about your summers.
