Feb. 28-Mar. 4 Happenings

With our Pops Concert fast approaching the High School and 7/8th Grade Bands are hard at work preparing for Tuesday, March 15. Please be sure to mark your calendars and be in the Graettinger Gym by 7:00 ready for a great night of music!


Middle School

5th Band


Objectives:

  • Continue full octave Bb scales
  • Maybe begin Chromatic Scale
  • Rehearse full page pieces


Warm-Up:

  1. Page 28 #147


Music Rehearsal:

  1. Chesapeake March
    1. Reinforce counting and independence
    2. Continue performing in large sections
  2. Dragons of Komodo
    1. Finish reading through
    2. Reinforce triplet rhythms and practice counting and playing
    3. Begin full runs
  3. Read through new piece
    1. Begin rehearsing in sections


6th Band:


Objectives:

  • Continue scale rehearsal
  • Rehearse/Read Music
