Objectives:
  • Rehearse full band pieces
  • Rehearse full octave chromatic/full octave concert Bb major
Warm-Up:
  • Pg. 46-47 Chromatic Scale in quarter notes
  • Pg. 28 #147 full one octave Bb Major Scale
Music Rehearsal:
  1. March Winds
    1. Reinforce new rhythms in the snare drum part
    2. Perform full runs
  2. Prelude and Allegro
    1. Isolate like parts in prelude section
    2. Discuss and rehearse transition between slow and fast section
    3. Identify and discuss the canon
  3. Discuss Solo Spotlight and Rubric
  4. Possibly distribute a new piece
