Jan. 3-6 Happenings

I hope that everyone has had a very fun and relaxing break over the past week and a half. As soon as we are back we will begin working hard again to begin preparing for our next concert in March and the middle school students will begin looking for solos by the beginning of February.

5th Band

Objectives:

• Continue weekly lessons
• Reinforce class expectations and procedures
• Discuss expectations for second semester
• Solo Contest
• Full Band Songs
• Practice Logs/Grades
• Continue working from EE

1. Begin on EE Pg. 10
• Play Notes in Review (Quarter and Eighth Notes)
• Begin playing on EE Pg. 10 #41 and move forward
• Set Goal to get through full band pages 11 and 12 in order to begin full band songs

Middle School

6th Grade Band

Objectives:

• Continue working on scales
• Distribute and read new pieces
